Here’s Your First Look At Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro

A unique design on the flagship phablet by Huawei

There’s been quite a few rumors floating around Huawei’s upcoming Mate 10 smartphone, but leave it to Evan Blass aka @evleaks to give us a clear picture of the flagship. Well, one of its versions anyway: the picture above is apparently an official render of the Mate 10 Pro, at least according to Blass.

The design is a huge departure from the normal single-color aesthetic that Huawei has utilized for its flagships, and it looks like the company is being more adventurous when it comes to color schemes to try and make their flagship look a little different from the competition. The Mate 10 Pro’s rear has a stripe that contains the dual cameras co-developed with Leica, this time sporting Sumilux-H lenses. The cameras also have f/1.6 apertures for better low light performance, similar to the one on LG’s V30.

The display is big and impressive, and much like their mid-range Nova 2i, has very slim bottom and top bezels and non-existent side ones. The resolution will most likely be 1440 x 2880 and has a 18:9 display ratio.

The Mate 10 Pro is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 970 processor, and have at least 4GB of RAM and 4000mAh battery. The big highlight here is AI – with Huawei boasting Kirin 970’s AI capabilities, it’s not difficult to imagine that the upcoming phone will have a few AI-assisted features when it’s finally unveiled on October 18.
