HONOR Announces Play 5T Pro in China

After announcing a 5G-ready Play5 in China last May, HONOR announced a more affordable version with the Play 5T Pro.

Billed more as an entry-level offering, the Play 5T Pro is powered by a Helio G80 processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The display is a 6.6-inch IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution and a centrally-placed punch-hole for the 16-megapixel selfie snapper. The rear camera setup is simplified with a 64-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery with support for 22.5w charging, along with Android 10-based MagicUI 4.0 out of the box. Other features include USB-C, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Bluetooth 5.1.

HONOR Play 5T Pro Price

The Play 5T Pro is priced at CNY 1499(~Php 11.7k) and will go on sale in China on August 11. There’s no word yet if HONOR intends to make the phone outside of China.

HONOR is expected to announce more devices on August 12 like the Tab V7 Pro and the X20 5G. According to a teaser poster, the X20 5G is confirmed to have a 120hz display, a pill-shaped punch-hole, 66w wired charging, 64-megapixel main rear camera, and a new 6nm chip.
