HONOR Magic5 Series, Magic Vs to Go Global at MWC 2023

HONOR Magic5 Series, Magic Vs to Go Global at MWC 2023

HONOR confirms that it will unveil the Magic5 series–and make the Magic Vs official globally–at MWC 2023.

With MWC 2023 happening in a few weeks’ time, HONOR has confirmed that the Magic5 series and the Magic Vs foldable will have a global unveiling on February 27. This follows after a cheeky teaser taking jabs at the upcoming Galaxy S23 series last week.

Judging from the poster, we can confirm that the renders we saw of the Magic5 are real with that triple rear camera setup that’s arranged in a triangular layout. To recap, the vanilla Magic5 will reportedly use an IMX800 sensor–the same one used on the HONOR 70–while the Pro model will use an all-new IMX878 sensor.

As for the Magic5 Ultimate, it is expected to rock a 1-inch IMX989 sensor that’s found on current flagship phones like the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and vivo X90 Pro+ and upcoming flagships like the OPPO Find X6 Pro. All three models of the Magic5 series are expected to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and there’s no news if HONOR will also have Dimensity-powered versions.

As for the Magic Vs, we expect the global version of HONOR’s flagship foldable to be similar to the China version. These include a 7.9-inch foldable display, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, triple rear camera setup that’s led by an IMX800 sensor for the main camera, and a 5000mAh battery.

HONOR only confirmed the Magic5 series and Magic Vs for MWC 2023 for now, but the brand may have other surprises in store.
