HONOR is also going to have a busy January: aside from the local launch of the X9b on January 12, HONOR is also preparing for the China launch of the Magic6 series, which is set during its 2-day event from January 10-11.

Ahead of the official launch, HONOR CEO George Zhao has revealed two colorways of the Magic6 Pro, with both models showcasing a periscope camera and up to 100x digital zoom. The purple colorway appears to feature a vegan leather back, while the green colorway uses glass for the back panel and has a marble finish.

While the camera layout appears to be similar to the Magic5 series, the Magic6 is said to use Omnivision’s new OV50K sensor–though we don’t know if it will be used as a main camera, ultra-wide camera, or telephoto camera.

Expected specs of the Magic6 series include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a large 5800mAh battery that supports 66w wired charging, and up to 1TB of storage. The Magic6 Pro will retain the curved AMOLED display of its predecessor but renders shared by Digital Chat Station show that HONOR relocated the pill-shaped punch hole to the center for a more symmetrical look.

We also expect the launch to give us a closer look at the anticipated Porsche Design Magic6, which will be the most premium variant.
