Huawei to Unveil Two Smartwatches for September 14

Huawei Launches Watch GT 3 Pro and Watch Fit 2 in the Philippines

After going for a silent launch of the Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro in China without any marketing push, Huawei has revealed that it will have a launch on September 14. It’s not going to be the Mate 60 that will have a global launch; instead, Huawei is set to launch two smartwatches on September 14.

Based on the teaser post, the two smartwatches that Huawei plans to launch appears to be one with a functional bezel in silver and olive green, and a more stylish smartwatch with a clean white bezel and gold accents. It remains to be a mystery if these will be two different smartwatches or just one smartwatch with an interchangeable face.

Our best guess is that Huawei might unveil the watch GT4 and GT4 Pro on September 14. To recall, the Watch GT3 arrived in the Philippines last November 2021, while the Watch GT3 Pro (in titanium) arrived in the Philippines earlier this year with a Php 20k price tag. Huawei is mum on the new features they will introduce to their upcoming smartwatches, so we expect a few surprises come September 14.

The most recent smartwatch that Huawei has launched in the Philippines is the Watch Ultimate. This Php 40k smartwatch has a body made from zirconium and sapphire glass protecting the 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display. As Huawei’s top-end offering, the Watch Ultimate is rated for up to 8 days of active and up to 14 days in power saving mode.
