Huawei’s Mate 10 Flagship Will Have A Massive 4,000mAh Battery

It’s the first flagship phone this year to have that much juice

While there’s quite a number of flagships launched in the past few months, most of them have one thing in common: battery ratings that barely go above 3,500mAh. That’s going to change when Huawei launches its Mate 10 on the 18th though, as the company has confirmed on Twitter that the Mate 10 has a massive 4,000mAh battery.

That’s not that impressive on its own considering there are phones out there that have bigger batteries in their bodies, but we’re talking about a flagship phone here. Even Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 with its massive body that houses the 6.3-inch Infinity Display only has a 3300mAh battery in it. The newly launched Google Pixel XL 2 has 3,520mAh. No flagship phone has managed to break the 4,000mAh barrier, until Huawei’s Mate 10.

Coincidentally the Mate 10 has the same battery capacity of the Mate 9, which also has a 4,000mAh battery in its slim aluminum frame. That phone turned out to be one of the longest lasting flagships we’ve ever used, so we’re hoping that the Mate 10 follows in its footsteps as far as battery longevity goes.
