While the top 5 phone brands remain unchanged in Southeast Asia (SEA), Counterpoint Research notes that Infinix has the biggest Year-on-Year (YoY) growth in terms of shipment market share. With its growth, Infinix is only behind realme by 4% to make it to the top 5 brands in SEA.

In Counterpoint’s Q3 2023 report for the SEA market, Infinix managed to have a huge 42% YoY growth in shipments in the SEA region, with Apple having the second-best YoY growth at 19%. That’s still a feat considering that phone shipments in the Philippines declined by 8% in Q3 2023 compared to last year.

With the Philippines’ economy showing signs of recovery, Filipinos might see increased household spending in the coming months, which can also affect phone purchases. Infinix’s impressive growth in the SEA region can be credited to its comprehensive portfolio of phones that cover the budget to mid-range segments – which is what the majority of consumers will most likely purchase. Infinix’s top-selling phones are under the HOT, NOTE, and ZERO series.

Infinix has stepped up its offerings for 2023: the Note 30 series supports 45w fast charging, with the VIP version upping the ante with 68w wired and 50w wireless charging. The ZERO’s return this year is also significant with the ZERO 30 5G being the only mid-range phone at under Php 15k to offer 4K video recording at both front and rear cameras.
