While Samsung’s trolling antics backfired at them, Infinix is taking their chance to jab Apple with the iPhone 16 Pro Max being rather thick at 8.3mm. What Infinix touts is that its next phone is one of the slimmest in its segment at 7.8mm–or 0.5mm thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
To further bolster their claim, Infinix shared a “leaked” photo of their upcoming phone compared to an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and Infinix’s claims does hold true: their phone is slimmer indeed.
The photo also show’s Infinix’s upcoming phone being taller than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and has a vertically-aligned triple rear camera setup and what appears to be a 3D curved display. Infinix also adds that their upcoming phone also has an IP54 rating despite its slender build.
Infinix also shared a teaser poster as well. While Infinix did not reveal what the phone is, the profile in the official teaser photo possibly points to the HOT 50 5G as its next release. The budget phone recently went official in India and is a 5G-ready device with its use of a Dimensity 6300 processor that’s paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage.
Its slim profile also gets you a 5000mAh battery inside, which is a feat considering that it’s a budget phone. You also get a 120hz display with the HOT 50 5G, and its triple rear camera setup is led by a 48-megapixel IMX582 sensor, which is used on more expensive phones.
Expect Infinix to reveal more details regarding pricing and availability in the coming days.
