After teasing the Galaxy Z Fold7 as having an Ultra experience and being thinner, lighter, and more durable, Samsung’s next teaser focuses on the cameras this time. In its press release, Samsung emphasized that great imaging demands a “seamless integration of hardware, software and AI”, and that Samsung is looking at a holistic system for the cameras of the Galaxy Z Fold7 in its hopes to redefine mobile photography.

Beyond capturing photos, Samsung also envisions that AI features on the Galaxy camera will be “part of the intuitive interface that turns what users see into understanding and action,” and that experience will be made better on a foldable form factor. Samsung also mentioned in its press release that with all the new AI features, privacy will be built on every layer to ensure that your data is protected at all times. “The camera will only get smarter — helping users capture life’s moments more vividly and make everyday experiences more seamless, personal and impactful,” Samsung adds.

There are no confirmed details yet about the cameras of the Galaxy Z Fold7 yet, but we presume that it might use the 200-megapixel sensor found on the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition that can shoot 8K30 videos—a rare feature for a foldable phone.
