The wait is almost over for the Nothing Phone (1), as the brand confirmed that they will unveil their second product (after the Ear (1)) on July 12. We received an email from the brand confirming the maunch date, boasting the tagline “Return to Instinct”.
Not much is revealed about the phone, but based on what’s written on the launch page, we should look forward to how the brand will disrupt the phone industry.
From what we know so far, we expect the Phone (1) to rock a Snapdragon processor (possibly the 8+ Gen 1 or 7 Gen 1) and will have a UI that’s as minimalist as OxygenOS’ early days–with an emphasis on the brand’s dot matrix font. It will inherit the Ear (1)’s transparent case and earbud design, so expect the smartphone to have a unique look at the very least.
Expected specs of the Phone (1) include a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and uniform bezels, at least 8GB RAM, at least 128GB storage, and up to 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
Aside from the Phone (1), Nothing might announce other smart home products as CEO and Co-Founder Carl Pei wants to launch a full ecosystem of Nothing products.
