After it was spotted in Malaysia last January, OPPO is bringing over the A78 5G to the Philippines as well with a Php 15k price tag. Being Php 1k more than the SRP in Malaysia, the A78 5G is the most affordable 5G-ready phone from OPPO this 2023.
Bearing the same dual-circle design we saw on the A77s and Reno8 T 4G, the A78 5G is powered by a Dimensity 700 processor, and is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. There’s no leather-like back option for the A78 5G–instead, you have an OPPO Glow dual-tone design, with the glossy part placed as an extended strip on the area where the cameras are to be found.
Like the A77s, you are also getting a 6.56-inch 90hz HD+ IPS display with a notch for the 8-megapixel selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, 5000mAh battery with support for 33w SuperVOOC charging, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 50-megapixel main camera that’s paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. You also get an IPX4 rating and Android 13-based ColorOS 13 as well.
The A78 5G is priced at Php 14,999 in the Philippines and is available at all authorized OPPO stores nationwide, along with Lazada and Shopee.
