POCO F5 Coming on April 5: Based on Redmi Note 12 Turbo?

With the unveiling of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, Xiaomi is one of the first brands to confirm that they will use this processor in the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Should we follow how POCO and Redmi handle their releases, it has been long presumed that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be known as the POCO F5 in other countries like India, and there are reports that it will launch in India on April 6.

Details are slim about the Redmi Note 12 Turbo / POCO F5, but they are expected to rock a 6.67-inch 120hz AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution and an in-display fingerprint scanner–which will be a rare feature since the entire Redmi Note 12 series settles for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead.

The POCO F5 / Redmi Note 12 Turbo will have a larger-than-usual 5500mAh battery with 67w wired charging and is expected to have a triple rear camera setup that will consist of a 50-megapixel main, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro.

As for the POCO F5 Pro, there’s no word yet on this phone–but reports say that it might be based on the Redmi K60. If that’s true, we expect the POCO F5 Pro to rock a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, along with a 2K AMOLED display, 64-megapixel main camera with OIS, and a 5500mAh battery with 67w wired and 30w wireless charging–with the latter becoming a first for any POCO device.
