POCO X5 Series to Be Unveiled Globally on February 6

POCO confirms that the X5 series will be unveiled globally on February 6.

The wait is almost over for POCO’s first phone release in 2023: POCO has confirmed that the X5 series will be unveiled globally on February 6–and that the Philippines will be one of the countries to have it.

We have already seen photos of the POCO X5 Pro, and from the get-go, it does look similar to the POCO X4 GT with the addition of a bold POCO branding beside the camera module. We also know the key specs of the X5 Pro, and these include a Snapdragon 778G processor, 120hz Full HD+ AMOLED display, stereo speakers, 108-megapixel main rear camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 67w charging.

In a nutshell, the POCO X5 Pro is almost similar to the X4 Pro, but the upgrade to a Snapdragon 778G should give it better value for money in terms of overall performance and having the ability to shoot 4K video once again.

As for the vanilla POCO X5, it is reportedly based on the Redmi Note 12 5G but swaps the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 for a Snapdragon 695. It will reportedly have the same 120hz AMOLED panel found on the Pro model, though the selfie shooter is just a 13-megapixel snapper. The rear also looks similar to the Pro as well, but the main camera will only be 48-megapixels. The battery is also the same at 5000mAh, but the charging speed is just 33w.

We should know more about the POCO X5 series in the coming days–including its price and availability, so stay tuned for more updates.
