Take With a Grain of Salt
While Mobile World Congress has typically been the venue for Huawei to show off their new devices, they’ve decided to break away from announcing the newest member of the P series of smartphones. Scheduled for their launch towards the end of the month, Huawei is expected to unveil at least three new smartphones, namely: the Huawei P20, the Huawei P20 Pro, and the Huawei P20 Lite. There have been a significant amount of leaks on the Huawei P20 Lite but it looks like someone has spilled the beans on the pricing for the base model of the P20 and its sibling with a bigger screen size too. Let’s not beat around the bush, shall we?
We already know that the Huawei P20 Lite will be priced at around 369€ or just shy of Php 24k; just a few beats away from the company’s current flagship device, which just received a great price cut. New details have just surfaced that we could be seeing the P20 set back our bank accounts by 679€ or Php 43,510 and the P20 Pro will be priced at 899€ or Php 57,607. We know. Yikes!
Before we all go up in arms, we do have to caution you to take this with a grain of salt and wait for the actual announcement. Another thing to note is that we typically get a significantly cheaper price tag on Huawei’s devices. After all, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro was announced to have a price tag of around Php 48,000 when we were sent to Munich to cover its launch and the company’s local arm priced it significantly less when it hit our shores.
For now, we wait with baited breathe. You can check out the bountiful amount of leaks about the devices to be released by Huawei below:
