Just a few days after Xiaomi teased two key features of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, the brand has decided to confirm that the Redmi Note 13 Pro series will launch in China on September 21, which is a week from now. To build up the anticipation, Xiaomi showcased the design of both the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Pro+ ahead of the launch.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will be the first Redmi Note phone to have a curved display, and the design teasers reveal a unique “Light Dream Space” colorway that has three different colors on a leather-like finish. A closer look at the camera module confirms that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+’s 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 main camera will have a bright f/1.65 aperture and OIS.
Aside from a curved AMOLED display, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, 1.5K display resolution, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection–all three being big firsts for any Redmi Note device. Aside from the flagship-grade display, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will use a Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, which is a big upgrade over the Dimensity 1080 used on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro, on the other hand, will have this “Star White” colorway that has a unique finish for the glass back. Unlike the Pro+, you get a boxy design that’s reminiscent of the Redmi Note 12 series, and its triple rear camera setup does confirm a 200-megapixel main camera–though OIS might be absent. Despite having a flat AMOLED display, the renders appear to confirm that the Redmi Note 13 Pro will have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Based on what Xiaomi has revealed so far, the Redmi Note 13 Pro series prove to be very interesting. We should know more about them on September 21.
