Looking to buy a Steam Deck OLED in the Philippines? Datablitz just announced on their Facebook Page that you can avail of either the 512GB or 1TB variants of the Steam Deck OLED online. The pricing for both variants is rather steep, with the 512GB variant priced at Php 39,995 and the 1TB variant priced at Php 49,995.
For reference, the 512GB variant is priced at $549 or around Php 31k, while the 1TB model is is priced at $649 or around Php 37k in the US. Do note that the US prices do not include shipping and taxes, so that should explain why Datablitz’s pricing is that high.
Another thing we’re wary about the Steam Deck OLED in the Philippines is warranty: unlike Nintendo, there’s no official distributor for the Steam Deck OLED locally. Should you run into problems, you will need to send your device back to Datablitz. Aside from that, the local pricing of the Steam Deck OLED will face tough competition against the ROG Ally and Legion Go, with both gaming handhelds getting a more powerful Ryzen Z1 processors at the expense of only 512GB SSD storage.
Aside from a new 7.4-inch OLED display that supports HDR and 90hz refresh rate, the Steam Deck OLED gets a bigger 50wHr battery and updated cooling–though the core internals remain the same as the non-OLED version.
