As a foldable version of the P50 series, the P50 Pocket packs a large 6.9-inch foldable inner display. When unfolded, the P50 Pocket offers more screen estate than an iPhone 13 Pro Max while being slimmer and lighter at the same time. The OLED display has a 120hz refresh rate, 300hz touch response rate, and supports DC Dimming for better eye protection.

It retains the P50 series’ unique dual circle design language, with the first ring housing a triple rear camera setup and the second ring being home to a 1-inch circular AMOLED display. The circular display has its own set of service widgets, allowing you to use a number of the P50 Pocket’s features even while folded.

The Diamond White and the Premium Gold variants have a specially textured 3D glass panel for a unique design, while the black color keeps it simple with a smooth glass panel.

Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold3, the P50 Pocket uses Huawei’s multi-dimensional hinge design to ensure no gaps when the phone is folded.

The P50 Pocket edges out the Galaxy Z Flip3 in the photography department with its triple rear camera setup that consists of a 40-megapixel True Chroma main camera with a large sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 32-megapixel Ultra Spectrum camera, on top of a color temperature sensor and Laser Autofocus.

The Ultra Spectrum camera has an array of sensors that include a 10 channel Multi-Spectrum sensor and an Ultra Spectrum illuminator to help the P50 Pocket produce vastly better images even in low light. The special camera also has an Ultra Spectrum Fluorescence Photography mode that Huawei claims can capture content and details that cannot be seen by the naked eye.

Powering the P50 Pocket is a 4G-only Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. It also edges out the Galaxy Z Flip3 in the battery department with a 4000mAh cell that has support for 40w charging.

The Huawei P50 Pocket starts at CNY 8988(~Php 70.7k) for the 8GB/256GB model and goes up to CNY 10988(~Php 86.4k) for the 12GB/512GB Premium Gold variant. The Black model will be exclusive to China, while the Diamond White and the Premium Gold will be made available globally.
