It’s the first phone to use a Snapdragon 670 processor
After listing the F9 in Lazada yesterday, OPPO revealed the premium mid-range R17 today. A successor to the R15, the R17 gets several key upgrades that include 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel rear cameras, and a Snapdragon 670 processor—the first phone to use Qualcomm’s recently-launched processor.
Other upgrades include a Gorilla Glass 6-protected 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a tiny notch housing a 25-megapixel f/2.0 camera—the same camera found on the F7 and F9. Powering the device is a 3500mAh battery with VOOC quick charging, and Android 8.1 Oreo with Color OS 5.2.
The R17 will debut at a flash sale at OPPO’s webstore on August 18.
