Aside from the X Flip and X Fold 2, vivo culminates its big announcement in China with the Pad 2. A follow-up to the original vivo Pad from last year, the Pad 2 gets a bigger 12.1-inch IPS display with a 2.8k resolution and a fast 144hz refresh rate. You get support for both a stylus and keyboard–the former having a magnetic attachment on the side of the tablet.
The Pad 2 has a 6-speaker system that consists of four full-range speakers and two tweeters. Its circular module at the back has a 13-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel macro camera–while the selfie shooter is an 8-megapixel sensor. As a flagship tablet, the Pad 2 comes with a Dimensity 9000 processor that is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Keeping the lights on is a 10000mAh battery that supports 44w wired charging. It comes with OriginOS Ocean out of the box–and there’s no word if a FunTouchOS version will be made available.
The vivo Pad 2 starts at CNY 2,399(~Php 19.5k) for the 8GB/128GB model and goes up to CNY 3,399(~Php 27.7k) for the 12GB/512GB model. The Pencil and Smart Touch Keyboard retail for CNY 499(~Php 4.1k) and CNY 599(~Php 4.9k) respectively. There’s no word yet if vivo intends to make it available outside of China.
