Vivo Hints At Unveiling In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Tech at CES 2018

Could they be launching a new phone as well?

Remember the report that Vivo will be the first company to launch a phone with an in-display fingerprint scanner? Turns out that the Chinese brand is slated to showcase the in-display fingerprint tech at CES 2018 with a new smartphone, together with Synaptics.

In the press release sent to us, Vivo’s participation at the CES 2018 is part of their efforts in innovating and improving user experience to stay ahead of the competition. Among these include launching the first dual 20-megapixel front camera phone with the V5 Plus, and the first 24-megapixel front camera with the V7 and V7 Plus.

Going back to Vivo’s latest innovation, they will most probably use Synaptics Clear ID FS9500 in-display fingerprint sensor, which was unveiled a few weeks back. As for what will be Vivo’s first phone to utilize the tech, we will have to wait for January 9—during the first day of CES 2018—for the official unveiling.
