The V50 is coming soon, and vivo Philippines confirmed that it is arriving at our shores soon. Judging from the promo period for their Bring Me Color Red campaign, our guess is that the vivo V50 will launch in the Philippines on March 7. The biggest standout from their teasers is that the V50’s hero color will be Ancora Red—a colorway that was initially speculated to be exclusive to India.

Given that the V50 is expected to be based on the China-only S20, we’re expecting the V50 to have a quad-curved display that’s similar to the X200 Pro and a complete departure from the usual curved displays, a 50-megapixel selfie camera, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Like its predecessor, you’re getting ZEISS co-engineering with the V50, and we presume that the two rear cameras will be a 50-megapixel main shooter and 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter.

Aside from the ZEISS co-engineering, the V50 is different from the S20 as it is reportedly going to have a 6000mAh battery with support for 90w charging, which is a step up from the 5500mAh cell from the V40. The V50 will stand out further as it will reportedly be one of the slimmest phones to have a 6000mAh cell.

The V50 will launch first in India on February 17, so we expect to know its full specs soon.
