It’s the same phone with the in-display fingerprint scanner
Following Vivo’s presentation of the world’s first phone with an in-display fingerprint scanner at CES 2018, it turns out that the said model will be having an official launch soon. Recently, the X20 Plus UD—yes, the same phone that was showcased in CES 2018, has made its rounds in TENAA.
In essence, the X20 Plus UD is similar to the X20 Plus, except there is no fingerprint scanner in the back since the X20 UD has it underneath its display. In addition, the X20 Plus UD uses an OLED display, which is needed for the in-display fingerprint scanner to work.
As for specs, the X20 Plus UD has the same specs as the X20 Plus. This means it will have a 6.43-inch Full HD+ display (this time an OLED panel), Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a 3800mAh battery. The cameras are the same as well, with a 12-megapixel f/1.8 and 5-megapixel rear cameras, and a 12-megapixel f/2.0 front camera.
Pricing for the X20 Plus UD is expected to be at CNYÂ 3,698 (~Php 29.1k).
