Unlike last year where it took a while before Xiaomi released the 12s Ultra, the brand seems to be much prepared for the 13 Ultra, as it has confirmed its launch on April 18. The poster does confirm a global launch, and Xiaomi did confirm the large camera bump that was initially revealed in leaked renders.
The teaser photo also confirms that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will have 4 cameras in the back. The branding on the camera module mentions that the whole system will have a f/1.8 (most likely for the main camera) to f/3.0 (most likely for the telephoto) aperture, along with an overall focal length equivalent of 12mm to 120mm.
With the Xiaomi 13 Pro having three 50-megapixel cameras, the Ultra is set to take things up a notch by having FOUR 50-megapixel cameras–with the fourth one most like being a short telephoto camera to supplement the long telephoto camera.
If the renders are true, the 13 Ultra will have a vegan leather back option, along with flat sides for its aluminum frame. Expected specs of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 120hz Curved AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, and a 4900mAh battery that will support 90w wired and 50w wireless charging.
We should know more about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra on its official launch on April 18–and if the brand has other surprises in store.
