While we are only getting the Xiaomi 14 in the Philippines, our review revealed that the compact flagship is a Pro in its own right especially with its three 50-megapixel, Leica-branded camera setup. We were impressed at the camera performance of the Xiaomi 14, and it made us wonder: how does it fare against the competition?

According to DxOMark, the Xiaomi 14 performed well: it outscored both the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 12S Ultra by two points, and beat the vivo X80 Pro by a point. While it outperformed flagship devices from 2022, note that the Xiaomi 14 is a non-Pro model and the fourth-highest non-Pro Android flagship in DxOMark’s charts. Aside from the Pixel 7 and 8, the Find X6 is currently the top non-Pro Android flagship.

One of the key points of the stellar performance of the Xiaomi 14’s cameras is its 3.3x telephoto shooter, which does a stellar job of preserving details even when using it in low-light situations. Together with the main and ultra-wide cameras, the Xiaomi 14 has accurate target exposure and great detail preservation for both photo and video.

We took the Xiaomi 14 around Metro Manila and Barcelona, and we agree with DxOMark with the overall performance of its cameras.
