As a flagship killer, we know that the Xiaomi 14T Pro packs a solid set of cameras that’s free of any filler modules. Aside from the Leica co-engineering, the 14T Pro borrows the same sensor used on the Xiaomi 14 on the main camera, along with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a 2.6x zoom.
Are the cameras of the Xiaomi 14T Pro any good? According to DxOMark, they’re decent. With a score of 135, that makes the Xiaomi 14T Pro 5 points behind the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is a 2023 premium flagship, and has the same score as the Pixel 6 Pro, Google’s flagship phone from 2022. The regular Xiaomi 14T, on the other hand, is not far off with a score of 134.
In DxOMark’s analysis, the 14T Pro’s image and video quality are roughly similar to the more expensive Xiaomi 14. That being said, the 14T Pro excels in capturing landscapes and outdoor portraits. While it trails behind in low light compared to other phones in the Premium category, the 14T Pro offers good exposure and colors with its ultra-wide camera in outdoor and indoor settings. The 14T Pro’s telephoto camera is also good, offering a wide dynamic range with accurate exposure.
When it comes to video, the 14T does have good exposure and decent detail in both the highlights and shadows. Autofocus and stabilization are also good, though DxOMark notes that colors appear desaturated compared to when taking photos.
