Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 is happening in a few days, and the annual event in Barcelona is often the biggest venue for major tech launches–specifically for phones. We will be in Barcelona to cover MWC 2024, which will be from February 26-29, so expect to see all the latest updates here at the site.
While we are preparing for our MWC 2024 coverage, let’s round up all the expected announcements from every brand so far:
HONOR
HONOR is expected to make a splash at MWC 2024 with the global launch of the Magic6 series. The Magic6 Pro is intriguing with its use of a 180-megapixel sensor for the periscope camera, which is unconventional. While it “only” has 2.5x optical zoom, HONOR claims that their approach allows for sharp photos even at 100x digital zoom.
Aside from the global launch of the Magic6 Series, we also expect to get a closer look at the Magic V2 RSR, which is HONOR’s first collaboration with Porsche Design.

Xiaomi
Xiaomi recently confirmed that their MWC highlight will be the 14 series, which is the end of a 4-month wait after it was unveiled in China as the first phone to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. While Xiaomi’s official teasers mention 14 series despite the Pro model being 50/50 in terms of getting global availability, speculations point to the brand unveiling the 14 Ultra instead.
If that’s enough, we might be lucky to see the SU7 in the flesh as well at MWC 2024–but we’re crossing our fingers with this.

TECNO
TECNO is making a major participation at MWC 2024, and one of their highlights is the POVA 6 Pro, which will be the brand’s first phone in collaboration with Dolby Atmos. Given that MWC 2024 is a big event, we think that TECNO has a few wild cards in store to make a statement.

Nothing
While they are not giving any other hints about the Phone (2a), some hints indicate that Nothing might announce its next phone at MWC 2024. According to the latest leaks, expect the Nothing Phone (2a) to use a Dimensity 7200 processor and have two 50-megapixel cameras: ISOCELL GN9 for the main camera, and ISOCELL JN1 for the ultra-wide camera.
The Nothing Phone (2a)’s display is expected to be a 6.7-inch 120hz AMOLED panel that has a punch-hole for a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
