Ahead of unveiling the POVA 6 series at MWC 2024, TECNO announced that they will be partnering with Dolby Laboratories to introduce its Atmos spatial sound experience to TECNO’s budget mid-range phones.
“We’re delighted to partner with TECNO to bring the Dolby Atmos immersive listening experience to a wider range of consumers worldwide,” Dolby Laboratories Vice President for Commercial Partnerships Javier Foncillas said. “Dolby Atmos will deliver the premium, multidimensional audio experience with depth, clarity, and details like never before to TECNO users who enjoy their favorite entertainment in Dolby.”

With the partnership, TECNO hints that the upcoming POVA 6 series will stand out with its stereo speaker system that should be able to deliver a spatial audio experience with Dolby Atmos. Aside from the speakers, we expect the POVA 6 series to give the same level of audio quality over Bluetooth.
“This exciting development will allow our users to discover a new level of audiovisual immersion and enjoyment with their TECNO smartphone,” TECNO General Manager Jack Guo said.
Aside from the POVA 6 series, TECNO is expected to bring Dolby Atmos to future models of the CAMON and PHANTOM series.
