DITO maintains its momentum as it was recently proclaimed the fastest mobile network in the Philippines based on the October 2024 report of Opensignal.
For this recognition, DITO executives–led by CEO Eric Alberto, received the award in Barcelona, Spain during MWC 2025.
In Opensignal’s October 2024 report, DITO won in 14 categories that include 5G experience and overall experience in all categories (video, games, voice app, download speed, and upload speed) to further prove that it is the fastest mobile network in the Philippines.
To further elaborate on its 5G performance, DITO boasted download speeds of 287.2Mbps, which is almost double Smart’s 47.5 Mbps and dominates over Globe’s 95.2 Mbps. Even overall download speeds are great with DITO, boasting 34.6Mbps, and with Smart and Globe trailing behind at 28.6Mbps and 20.9Mbps respectively.
“DITO accumulates the most awards in this report,” Opensignal Senior Market Research Analyst Pierce Snyder, said. “Having launched commercial services in March 2021, DITO now dominates the mobile network experience landscape,” Snyder added.
With these accolades, DITO Brand and Marketing Director Jasper Evangelista said that this is proof that DITO is disrupting the market with its products and services, further elevating the overall digital experience of Filipinos. This also highlights DITO as the only telco in the Philippines with 5G Standalone (SA) infrastructure.
“These accolades validate our efforts to make 5G more accessible and a testament that despite the challenges of being a young telco, we’re on our way towards achieving the vision we stand for,” Evangelista adds.
