Finally: Apple Launches Bigger MacBook Air 15-Inch

Ever since the introduction of the MacBook Air in 2008, Apple has been using a 13-inch display for its ultra-slim laptop–but did launch the MacBook Air in a smaller 11-inch model from 2011 to 2015. As brands like LG begin to offer ultra-slim laptops with bigger 15-inch (or even 16-inch) displays, it was a matter of time before Apple would actually release bigger version of the MacBook Air. That moment finally happened at WWDC 2023, when the MacBook Air gets a 15-inch version.

Utilizing the same design as the M2 MacBook Air, the 15-inch model gets a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display and retains the key design elements of its 13-inch sibling. These include a fanless design, a MagSafe port, and a1080p FaceTime camera that’s housed in a notch. Being a larger model, the MacBook Air 15-inch gets a 6-speaker system that’s found on the 16-inch MacBook Pro that supports Spatial Audio.

Staying true to the MacBook Air’s main feature as an ultra-slim and ultra-light laptop, the 15-inch version is just 11.5mm thin and weighs 3.3 pounds. Pair that with Apple’s M2 processor, and the MacBook Air 15-inch is also a powerful ultrabook at a very light package. Its M2 processor has an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU and can be configured with up to 24GB RAM.

The 15-inch Apple MacBook Air starts at Php 82,990 for the 8GB/256GB configuration.
