Globe is Most Improved in 5G Gaming Experience Worldwide: Report

Globe supposedly made the most improvements in 5G gaming experiences this past year when compared to its international peers.

Globe saw a year-to-year increase of 30.3% in analytics firm Opensignal’s 5G Games Experience metric, according to a report released this month. Globe was followed in Opensignal’s list by Chile’s Movistar (26.7%) and France’s Free Mobile (26.1%).

The rankings only included Group I telecoms, or those that operated in markets with a land area of more than 200,000 square kilometers.

Two companies in this category–SoftBank in Japan and Digi in Malaysia–were deemed as having provided the best mobile gaming experience on 5G after receiving statistically tied scores of 89.7 and 90.2 points, respectively. Meanwhile, with a score of 93.7 points, Singtel in Singapore took the top place for Group II telecoms or those that operated in markets with a land area of less than 200,000 square kilometers.

Among these companies, Denmark’s Telia improved the most in 5G Games Experience by seeing a 23.1% increase in its evaluation, followed by A1 in Bulgaria (19.8%) and Telenor in Denmark (19.2%).

Globe, which launched the first 5G broadband service in Southeast Asia, continued to expand its nationwide coverage for the cellular standard this year. While it lags behind local rival Smart when it comes to median download speeds, Globe has repeatedly been crowned as the most reliable mobile network in the Philippines.

Globe also placed 2nd in the mobile carriers category for this year’s Best Customer Service survey, which implied that the company’s clients were satisfied with the customer service that they received.
