If the confirmation that it will be available globally soon does not excite you enough, here’s another reason to look forward to the Xiaomi 12s Ultra: DxOMark recently published their results, and gave the Xiaomi 12s Ultra a score of 138, beating both the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max by 1 point.

In its analysis of its camera performance, DxOMark notes that the Xiaomi 12s Ultra excels on its color accuracy, exposure, and amount of detail. It has a stellar low-light performance, where it manages to cover a very wide dynamic range, and both its ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses perform very well, making the 12s Ultra a very versatile camera phone.

This stellar performance also extends to video, where the 12s Ultra has a decent extended dynamic range, natural texture rendering, and good exposure. While DxOMark notes that the 12s Ultra can improve its consistency with images and how fast it captures photos in low-light situations as compared to other ultra-premium phones, its score is proof that Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica is off to a good start.

While it may be behind its predecessor, one has to factor in that the Xiaomi 11 Ultra was never made available globally.
