HULK SMASH
Right after we got Thor and Loki we decided to go for the “big fella” in The Avengers movie. Yes folks, we’re talking about the gamma-irradiated green powerhouse, the Hulk! Among all the collectible 1/6th scale figures in the series, the Hulk literally stands out among the group because it towers over everyone at 42.cm/16.5-inches tall. This is, without a doubt, the biggest fully articulated and detailed figure we’ve ever seen!

It Dwarfs Everyone Else in Our Collection!
To fully appreciate how big Hulk is as a figure, check out the photos below of him side-by-side first with Superman (Man of Steel) from Play Arts Kai and then with Thor 1/6th Scale from Hot Toys. The 16.5-inch Hulk just towers over them. It’s a pretty good representation of how huge the Hulk really is.
Crazy big right!? You seriously have to see the toy up close to fully appreciate the size. The photos don’t do justice to the massiveness of the Hulk.
No Compromises with Details
Fortunately Hot Toys didn’t compromise the little details just so they could make a big toy. The figure has a stunning likeness to the Hulk in The Avengers. They even nailed the hair (both on top of his head and on his chest, lol). If you look close enough you can even see the wrinkles on his skin and even his gums!
Heck, they even got his torn up pants right, lol.
The green muscular body has detailed skin textures, tendons, and over 20 points of articulation. We were very surprised to find out that he was actually quite easy to pose. The joints were perfectly located from the head down to the toes.
The figure has two sets of palms. There’s the closed fists and there are the open hands. The nice thing about the open hands is that the individual fingers are flexible. You can bend them individually to create hand signs.
Hot Toys also made the eyeballs controllable. You’ll have to remove the back part of his head and there you’ll find knobs you can use to control the position of the eyeballs. Freaky!
Over-all we’re very happy and satisfied with this figure. It’s definitely a fantastic addition to our collection. Our only criticism is that it only shipped with one head sculpt. It would have been much better if there was another head with a different facial expression (Hulk shouting or something).
The Hulk from The Avengers 1/6th Scale Figure by Hot Toys retails in stores in malls anywhere from Php18,000-Php25,000. If you’re lucky though you can get one for a little less than that through online forums and Facebook groups.
