Best Mid-Range Phones in the Philippines (2024)

The under Php 20k segment is crucial for brands as this is the usual price point at how much Filipinos would spend for a new phone. Brands have become more competitive in this price point in the past few years, and the best mid-range phones in the Philippines for 2024 are more competitive compared to our top picks in 2023

As we are almost halfway through 2024, we have our picks for the best mid-range phones you can get if your maximum budget is Php 20k.

Best Mid-Range Phones in the Philippines (2024)

POCO X6 Pro 5G

If you’re after absolute performance, there’s no question that the X6 Pro 5G is the absolute best choice you can go for at under Php 20k. Aside from a Dimensity 8300 processor that can give the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 a run for its money, it’s a speed demon with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. You read the latter right: the X6 Pro 5G is the only mid-range phone to offer UFS 4.0 storage, making it a beast for running the most demanding games in the market.

The 8GB/256GB variant is priced at Php 16,599, which is a great deal if you’re after raw power that can handle practically anything you throw at it.

realme 12+ 5G

This is the first time that realme has a plus model for the non-Pro series, and the 12+ 5G is a great device–especially for its 50-megapixel LYT-600 main camera. This new sensor is a stellar performer especially in low-light, making the 12+ 5G one of the more compelling mid-range phones if you’re after camera performance. It has a decent spec sheet that includes a 120hz AMOLED display, a vegan leather back option, a Dimensity 7050 processor, and 67w charging for its 5000mAh battery.

The 8GB/256GB variant is priced at Php 15,665.90, which is a good deal if you’re after a mid-range phone that has an excellent main camera performance.

TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G

Fresh from its official arrival in the Philippines, the CAMON 30 Pro 5G is a winner in our books even if people criticize the steep price hike for the CAMON series. The price premium gives you three 50-megapixel cameras–one being a flagship-grade IMX890 sensor with OIS, one being an ultra-wide camera, and one being a selfie shooter with eye tracking AF. It has a better (not to mention more stable) Dimensity 8200 processor, along with a few software tricks that play around with generative AI.

The CAMON 30 Pro 5G is priced at Php 19,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant, and TECNO teased that a more affordable 8GB/256GB variant is also coming soon as well.

OPPO Reno11 F 5G

The most affordable variant of the Reno11 series is a surprisingly good model, as it addresses some of the shortcomings of the Reno10 5G at a much more accessible price tag. Among the notable improvements on the Reno11 F 5G include faster UFS 3.1 storage, an IP65 rating, slimmer bezels for its AMOLED display, and the ability to take 4K selfies with its 32-megapixel camera. The Reno11 F 5G enjoys the same treatment as its more expensive siblings when it comes to software updates, so this a mid-range phone worth considering if the software is your priority.

The Reno11 F 5G is priced at Php 18,999.

HONOR X9b 5G

While several mid-range phones offer a 120hz curved AMOLED display, the X9b is one of the more balanced offerings with its use of a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor along with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Aside from being generally tough against most drops, you get a larger-than-usual 5800mAh battery, an IP53 rating, and 4K video recording on its 108-megapixel main camera. The X9b 5G’s orange vegan leather option is a striking color option that still looks classy at the same time.

The X9b has a current price of Php 16,319 online, though the price may be slightly higher if you buy it at physical stores.

That rounds up our picks for the best mid-range phones in the Philippines for the first half of 2024. Did we miss any other compelling model? Let us know in the comments section.
