As HUAWEI makes a comeback with phones when it comes to market share, a new report by IDC reveals that HUAWEI dominates in the wearables market for the 2nd quarter of 2024, beating Xiaomi, Apple, and Samsung.
In the report, HUAWEI dominated the wearables market with a commanding 20.3% market share in Q2 2024, which is an impressive 42.1% year-over-year growth compared to the same period last year. For comparison, Apple has 13.1% of the market share in Q2 of 2024, which translated to a -11.8% growth from the same period last year.
The IDC report proves that HUAWEI’s innovations with wearables makes it a leader in the said segment. Some of its upcoming innovations include GCash QR payments using the HUAWEI Watch series, a wearable blood pressure monitor with the Watch D, and value-for-money wearables like the recently-launched Watch Fit 3, which is feature-packed and is priced at under Php 7k.
HUAWEI’s next innovation is with its TruSense system, allowing some of its wearables monitor relevant health stats as accurate as medical devices. The first batch of wearables with TruSense will launch globally on September 19, with the lineup consisting of the Watch GT 5, Watch D 2, and an updated version of the Watch Ultimate that can monitor relevant golfing stats.
