After a global launch last March, Xiaomi Philippines has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 series is coming on April 13.
With their teaser poster being similar to the one we saw during the global launch, we expect to see four variants: the Redmi Note 12 4G, Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro+ 5G. We’re not expecting to see the Redmi Note 12 Turbo on April 13, as the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2-powered mid-range will make its debut in India as the POCO F5 on April 5.
To recap, the main difference between the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ is with the main camera and charging speeds: the 12 Pro comes with a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and 67w charging, while the 12 Pro+ has a 200-megapixel main camera (also with OIS) and 120w charging.
Both Pro models come with a 6.67-inch 120hz AMOLED display, a 5000mAh battery, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a Dimensity 1080 processor.
Moving to the non-Pro models, the 4G model uses a Snapdragon 685 and has a 50-megapixel main camera while the 5G one uses an all-new Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 and uses a 48-megapixel camera. Save for those differences, both have a 120hz AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel selfie camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 33w wired charging.
