Will the Redmi Note 12 Turbo be the NEXT Flagship Killer?

Despite the number of Redmi Note 12 variants already available in China and the global market, Xiaomi is not shy to add another variant to the lineup with the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Announced in China, this phone is the first to debut Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. Qualcomm has big claims with its new mid-range chip, stating that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 offers as much as 50% better overall performance than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

The Note 12 Turbo borrows the display of the POCO X5 Pro, which is a 6.67-inch 120hz AMOLED display that supports 12-bit color and HDR10+ content, along with a punch-hole for the selfie shooter, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers. It also has the same 5000mAh battery that supports 67w charging. It does retain the headphone jack, making it a joy for users who prefer using wired earphones instead.

Moving to the triple rear camera setup, you get a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS that’s accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel depth sensor. Making the Note 12 Turbo unique in the lineup is that you can get one with as much as 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 3.1 internal storage–the latter being the biggest ever offered on a Redmi device.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo starts CNY 1999(~Php 16k) for the 8GB/256GB model, and goes all the way up to CNY 2599(~Php 21k) for the 16GB/1TB model. Global markets will more or less get the same phone as the POCO F5, which will be unveiled in India on April 6.
