Xiaomi 13 Series is Now Official for Global Markets

The wait is over for the Xiaomi 13 series to go global, as the Chinese tech giant makes the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro official ahead of the MWC 2023 festivities. Unlike the Chinese versions, the Global models do not offer the vegan leather variant–and the flashy color options for the Xiaomi 13 will not be made available outside of China.

To recap, both Xiaomi 13 models finally get an IP68 rating, and are the first official Leica-branded Xiaomi devices to be made available in global markets. Both also use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, along with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.o storage.

The Xiaomi 13 has a compact 6.36-inch Full HD+ OLED display that has a 120hz adaptive refresh rate and a high 1900nits maximum brightness. It has a significantly better rear camera setup than its predecessor that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom and OIS, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

The Xiaomi 13 packs a 4500mAh battery that supports 67w wired charging and 50w wireless charging.

The bigger Xiaomi 13 Pro remains the same 6.73-inch LTPO curved AMOLED display that has a 120hz adaptive refresh rate and a 1440p resolution.

You still get a triple 50-megapixel setup for the rear cameras, though the main camera uses a huge 1-inch IMX989 sensor, the telephoto camera has 3x optical zoom, and the ultra-wide camera now has autofocus. The battery on the Xiaomi 13 Pro is at 4820mAh, and you get 120w wired charging, and 50w wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 13 starts at 999 Euros for the 8GB/256GB variant or around Php 58k when converted, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro starts at 1299 Euros for the 12GB/256GB variant, or around Php 76k when converted.
