Xiaomi Confirms 13 Ultra, Coming Globally this Month

Following the global launch of the Xiaomi 13 series, the Ultra variant was notably absent. Everyone was wondering when Xiaomi’s ultimate flagship will arrive, and they confirmed the 13 Ultra’s existence in a post—and that it’s arriving this month.

What’s interesting is that Xiaomi also confirms that the 13 Ultra will be a global release——to recall, the 12s Ultra had limited availability, while the 11 Ultra and 10 Ultra were exclusive to China.

Little is known about the 13 Ultra, but Xiaomi teased that it will have the “most perfect Summicron Lens”. In that regards, reports point to the 13 Ultra having four 50-megapixel cameras—three of them using an IMX858 sensor, and the main camera using a 1-inch IMX989 sensor. Being large sensors, we expect the 13 Ultra to have a bigger camera bump than what we saw on the 12s Ultra.

We’re trying to imagine how Xiaomi will fit four large 50-megapixel sensors on the 13 Ultra’s camera module. In photo is the 12s Ultra.

As a flagship phone, the 13 Ultra is expected to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, along with a curved 120hz AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. It will reportedly have a 4900mAh battery that will support 90w wired and 50w wireless charging.

We should know more about Xiaomi’s ultimate flagship for 2023 in the coming weeks—and we hope it gets a wider availability as well.
