Among the factors that contributed to Converge’s explosive subscriber growth is its expansion of its fiber plan offerings: aside from the recently-announced Contract-Free FiberX offerings, Converge is also catering to the masses more with its BIDA Fiber low-cost postpaid plan and its Surf2Sawa prepaid offerings. Aside from a broader fiber internet portfolio, Converge’s growth is also credited to its partnership with Sky Cable, where it will be offering its fiber network to Sky Fiber subscribers so that they can enjoy better internet speeds.
As for the free upgrade offer for Sky Fiber subscribers, we were told during the Media Briefing that they are starting the upgrade in select pilot areas in Metro Manila, and expect to complete the upgrade by 2025.
