X aka Twitter to Remove Block Function Except for DMs

Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter (now known as X), he has made several changes to it that are rather controversial. Ranging from adding a Tweet view limit for non-paying subscribers to simply calling Twitter as X, it’s tough to predict what is Musk’s next move for the social media platform. The latest move that X (formerly known as Twitter) has in store is to remove the block feature.

While using block on X (formerly known as Twitter) is a feature that everyone uses often to protect them from harassment, Musk thinks that it’s not relevant because “it makes no sense”. While the block feature will not be completely removed (it will still be available for DMs, which also has new restrictions too), this further cripple down the functionalities of X. It’s bad enough that Twitter’s API is no longer free and broke the functionality of most third-party apps, and this new development makes you further question on how the social media platform will survive in the long run.

Musk may (or maybe not) be right about the changes he is making to X. After all, the hype for Meta’s Threads seems to have died down–but not to the level of what happened to that platform called Bondee.
