Recently, there have been reports that YouTube Premium will be more expensive in the Philippines. While we have to receive the notification, YouTube Premium will now be priced at Php 189/month (from Php 149) for Individual Plans and Php 379/month (from Php 239) for Family Plans (up to 5 users). Student plans will also be more expensive at Php 115/month (from Php 75).

YouTube Music is also included. Hear us out: you’re paying for YouTube Premium not just for the video–you’re also paying for allowing you to download tracks from YouTube Music. YouTube’s music streaming platform is a good alternative to Apple Music and Spotify, and while you don’t get Lossless option like Apple Music, YouTube Music high quality streaming can give Spotify’s high quality streaming a run for its money.
4K video streaming (and more options). If you opt for the Family Plan, YouTube Premium is probably one of the most affordable paid streaming options that lets you watch in glorious 4K resolution or in high bitrate 1080p resolution. Outside of better video resolution options, you also enjoy other features like downloading videos, picture-in-picture playback, being able to continue watching where you left off–and more.
