There’s also a 4G version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro

The Redmi Note 12 series is now official globally, and it seems that there are additional variants joining it. China has the Note 12 Turbo (that might launch as the POCO F5), while Indonesia gets a 4G version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro.

Unlike its Redmi Note 12 siblings, this particular variant looks different—in fact, it looks much closer to the 2021 Redmi Note 10 Pro, and do have their similarities. Both phones have a Snapdragon 732G processor that makes the most of the 108-megapixel main camera by having the ability to shoot 4K video, and both phones also have a 120hz AMOLED display. The processor of choice may be old, but the Snapdragon 732G is still better than the majority of 4G-only chips in the market.

What’s different, however, are the flat frame sides, sleeker camera module, and faster wired charging speed at 67w (the Redmi Note 10 Pro topped out at 33w). Like its doppelgänger, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G also has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 16-megapixel selfie camera, 5000mAh battery, stereo speakers, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage.

There’s no official price yet for this unusual Redmi Note 12 variant, but given that the Note 10 Pro was priced at under Php 14k at launch, Xiaomi might follow the same pricing too—assuming that this unusual variant makes it outside of Indonesia.
