Infinix is the #1 Brand in the Philippines, Here’s How We Found Out

There’s no secret about the rise of Transsion as a brand when it comes to the smartphone market share globally. Transsion has been the top brand in the Philippines for two consecutive quarters, further proving its dominance. However, with Transsion having Infinix, itel, and TECNO under its belt, many are wondering which one among the three brands is the biggest contributor to Transsion’s dominance in the Philippines.

We reached out to IDC Philippines Senior Research Analyst for Devices Research Angela Medez, and she told us through email that Infinix took the majority of Transsion’s total shipment at 60%, while TECNO has 30% of the share, and itel taking the remaining 10%.

With Transsion having 44% of the market share in the Philippines, this translates to Infinix having 26.4% of the market share and TECNO having 13.2%. With this breakdown, this brings realme to a close 3rd place with 13% of the market share.

Infinix having the majority share of Transsion’s dominance in the Philippines is evident with its successful consecutive releases in the country. For 2023, some of Infinix’s key releases include the ZERO 30 5G, NOTE 30 5G, and HOT 40 Pro. IDC’s response to us does not come as a surprise, as Counterpoint previously reported that Infinix is among the fastest-growing brands in Southeast Asia in the third quarter of 2023, along with TECNO and Apple.
