Agent Phil Coulson in the House!
After completing the main cast of The Avengers we decided to round up the last two characters so we can fully display the whole set at the Unbox HQ! First up we picked up Agent Phil Coulson who was played by Clark Gregg across the different movies he appeared (Iron Man, Thor, and The Avengers). Initially we weren’t too hot on the idea of spending thousands of pesos on a peripheral character but it turns out it’s a pretty fun fig with lots of extras in the box! And he’s the only character from The Avengers movie that now has a dedicated TV series, hehe.

It Really Looks Like Agent Coulson!
As you can see in the photo above, the head sculpt is definitely a bizarrely perfect copy of Agent Coulson as portrayed by Clark Gregg! Everything from the hair, eyes, nose, and even the wrinkles are spot on! They even made sure that the figure wore the same tie (with the same pattern) and shirt style as the one Agent Coulson used in The Avengers movie. The attention Hot Toys has to the smallest details is ridiculously impressive.
On complaint regarding the suit though, it attracts dust easily. Best to keep this fig in cabinets otherwise the coat will accumulate dust and other particles and you’ll have to constantly clean it.
So Many Stuff!
To make up for the “blandness” and “normalness” of Agent Coulson, Hot Toys literally stuffed the box with tons of extras. First up with have sunglasses (ala Men in Black) and a wireless phone/receiver which you can clip on his ear.
We also have a walkie talkie radio, a hand gun, and even a Phil Coulson SHIELD agent ID that you can pin to his chest!
There’s also a SHIELD folder and a smartphone which looks like a device that’s a cross between an iPhone and a BlackBerry, lol.
The smallest and coolest extra though are the Captain America trading cards (complete with blood stains).
The main accessory though is definitely the gigantic Destroyer Gun. This is the same weapon that Agent Coulson used to send Loki crashing through a wall in the movie!
With over 30 articulation points, the figure is quite easy to pose. There are also several hand pegs which you can use that can hold the various accessories included in the box. There’s also the usual black stand with the movie logo and name plate.
