Meet the J1’s successor
Samsung has officially taken the wraps off of their Galaxy J2 in India. The Galaxy J2 is aimed at entry-level users who want a 4G capable smartphone without the attached pricetag of more expensive Android devices. Launched with Opera Max, the new phone sports an ultra data saving mode that allows users to block (and allow) individual apps from using mobile data, promising up to 50% savings in data used.

The Galaxy J2 is touted by the Korean company as being designed and developed in their Indian R&D facility, and sports a 4.7-inch qHD display, along with a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and Android 5.1 on-board. The primary snapper is a 5-megapixel deal while selfie duty is done by a 2-megapixel front facing camera.
The J2 is priced at Rs. 8490, which is a little under 6K in our currency.
