While Qualcomm already has the Snapdragon 8/8+ Gen 1 and 7 Gen 1, it appears that they will have a Snapdragon 6 series will be getting a new model soon enough. Ahead of its imminent release, Evan Blass got hold of what appears to be an official spec sheet for the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.
Based on what’s mentioned in the spec sheet, the upcoming mid-range processor will be using a 4nm process and will have a new Kryo CPU core that is clocked at up to 2.2Ghz. It will be able to support Full HD+ displays at up to a 120hz refresh rate, and will have native support for a single 108-megapixel camera or a triple 13-megapixel camera setup.
Unlike the current Snapdragon 695, the 6 Gen 1 will be able to record 4K HDR video at 30FPS and slo-mo videos at up to 240FPS with a 720p (the 270p might be a typo) resolution. Other noteworthy features include support for LPDDR5 RAM at up to 12GB, support for Quick Charge 4+, and support for WiFi 6E with its FastConnect 6700 modem.
There are no details on when Qualcomm will unveil the upcoming mid-range processor, but we presume that it might be announced during the Snapdragon Summit that’s happening in Hawaii from November 15 to 17. Aside from that, Qualcomm might reveal details about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 as well.
