Converge is all good news with its business, as it reports an 11.5% revenue growth from January to March 2023. Converge credits this growth–which amounts to a consolidated growth of Php 8.6 billion–to its industry-leading subscriber acquisition and thriving enterprise business. All of this good news was revealed to members of the media at Converge’s Q1 FY2023 briefing ahead of its planned official rollout of Surf2Sawa prepaid fiber in June.

For its subscriber base, Converge was able to add around 43,000 new subscribers, which account for 67% new postpaid and 33% new prepaid subscribers. As of the first quarter of 2023, Converge has 1.9 million postpaid and around 30,000 prepaid fiber-to-the-home subscribers.

Converge’s growth in the enterprise segment is significant, as it posted its highest growth since 2020 at 32.4% or Php 1.2 billion year-on-year. This is credited to the robust overall growth across all subsegments – small and medium enterprises (SMEs), large enterprises and corporates, and wholesale.

Converge is well-positioned to be the preferred internet service provider of customers as we continue to focus on reaching the unserved and underserved markets,” said Converge Co-Founder and CEO Dennis Anthony Uy.

Converge continues its push to expand its services for the rest of the year. It continues to expand its coverage in the Visayas and Mindanao region, with Boracay as the latest area to have its services. As for its prepaid offerings, Converge is accelerating the rollout of its Surf2Sawa prepaid fiber service to more areas ahead of its planned official launch in June. Converge adds that the lower-income market, which will be the main target market for Surf2Sawa, accounts for approximately 9.3 million households.
