Outright Insane: NVIDIA RTX 6000 Listed with Php 460k Price Tag

If you already find the NVIDIA RTX 4080 and 4090 already expensive, be prepared to be shocked at the rumored price of the workstation-grade RTX 6000 GPU. While we expect the RTX 6000 to be ridiculously expensive because they are meant for professionals, a set of listings spotted by VideoCardz reveal that the price range is anywhere between $7378 to $8210. Converted to Php, we’re talking about a price range anywhere between Php 414k to 460k.

That asking price is ridiculously high, and you can use that amount as a downpayment for a new car already. For that absurd asking price, the RTX 6000 comes with 48GB GDDR6 VRAM, which is double of that what the RTX 4090 has to offer. In addition, the VRAM used on the RTX 6000  comes with ECC, which justifies its insane asking price.

The RTX 6000 is said to have a maximum power consumption of 300w (the RTX 4090 caps off at 450w) and comes with a PCIe 4.0 x16 graphics bus and 4 DisplayPort 1.4 ports. While it has a lower maximum power consumption, the RTX 6000 has approximately 11% more CUDA cores at 18,716 (the RTX 4090 has 16,384 CUDA cores.

Being a workstation GPU, you get a blower-type fan on the RTX 6000, making it louder than the RTX 4090, but having a lower chance to overheat.

There are no details yet if NVIDIA will bring the RTX 6000 workstation GPU to more markets including the Philippines.
