The Ford F-150, America’s best-selling car for 40 years, finally gets an all-new iteration launched in the Philippines this November 2021. At an introductory price of Php 3,398,000, this mammoth of a pick-up truck is only shipped to the Philippines with the 3.0L 4-Valve DOHC Power Stroke® V6 Turbo Diesel.
The all-new truck boasts masculine body lines all throughout its design. It retains the iconic grille that will eat the roughest of terrains for breakfast. Illuminating the path ahead are LED reflector headlamps with dynamic bending, LED fog lamps with cornering lamps, and configurable daytime running lamps. Some other accessories receive the LED treatment as well, such as the power-deployable running boards and cargo box. Connecting the F-150 to the road are 20-inch alloy-painted aluminum wheels and all-terrain tires.
Taking residence under the hood is a 3.0L Power Stroke® V6 Turbo Diesel with Auto Start-Stop Technology, capable of generating a whopping 253PS of power and 596NM of torque. This is mated to a 10-speed SelectShift® Automatic Transmission with Progressive Range Select and Selectable Drive Modes for work-ready power and optimization while remaining exceptionally fuel-efficient.
As expected, the interior gets a much-needed revamp as well. Still prioritizing the utility that the F-150 has grown famous for, the comfort and technology receive some upgrades. Light now enters the cabin via a twin-panel moonroof, while speed and other vital information are displayed on its 12-inch fully-digital gauge cluster. To entertain the passengers is a 12-inch center touch screen SYNC 4 infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, complete with an 8-speaker Bang-And-Olufsen system.
To keep things ergonomic, Ford has installed a shifter that can be stowed away to make room for in-cabin activities when the car is parked. The premium leather-trimmed seats are back-friendly with rear cupholders for convenience.
Safety on the road is maximized by Ford’s latest safety suite Co-Pilot 360 2.0 that makes use of Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping System (LKS), Auto-High Beam headlamps, Reverse Sensing System, Reverse Brake Assist, and Post-Collision Braking. For longer drives, cruise control is readily available as well as a 360-degree camera to allow you to park in the tightest spaces once you reach your destination.
