Samsung Accidentally Leaks Galaxy S21 FE: Speculative Philippines Price

Riding off the coattails of the Galaxy S20 FE’s success, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 FE smartphone is once again making rounds in the rumor mill. These smartphones garner quite a bit of attention due to their philosophy of delivering most of the flagship features from the company’s cutting-edge at a more affordable price point. If the Galaxy S21 FE can perform this feat once again, then its reputation in the Philippines will be a positive one.

Most information previously known about the device was leaked through social media. This includes exposure from users such as @Abhisheksoni130, an online tech enthusiast. According to his Twitter posts, the phone will be sporting the following specifications:

  • 120Hz Full HD+ Super AMOLED Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Processor
  • 12+12+8-megapixel rear camera setup, 32-megapixel selfie shooter
  • In-display fingerprint scanner
  • No headphone jack, microSD card slot
  • Metal build with plastic back

This is not so far off from what was making headlines a few months ago, with both an Exynos and Snapdragon variant set for release as per Samsung’s usual routine.

The most recent accidental leak though comes from the official Samsung UAE website. Twitter user @evleaks noticed that the support page for the Galaxy S21 FE was already up, despite the phone not even being officially unveiled yet. While some might say that excellent customer service requires foresight, the page was immediately taken down but can still be accessed on databases such as WayBackMachine. Some third-party case manufacturers and distributors have also mistakenly uploaded pictures of the item as early as now.

Galaxy S21 FE Price Philippines

While there is currently no information regarding the price of Samsung’s newest budget flagship option locally, we can use WinFuture’s report that prices could be at 660 Euros for the 128GB model and 705 Euros for the 256GB model. With current exchange rates, this translates to Php 37,486 and Php 40,042 at the time of writing.

Another indicative estimation point we can use is its predecessor’s launch price. The S20 FE made its local debut at an introductory price of Php 35,990 which could mean that this upcoming model could be priced similarly. We just have to wait until the next Galaxy Unpacked event, where many are expecting this to be announced alongside a new suite of Samsung devices.
